Clemson University is seeking to sole source to Lentech the hosting services of our Kronos instance for a period of 3 months as Clemson works to download the history in the instance and upload it either to our new Workday solution or to a storage solution that is currently in use.  Clemson will be leaving Kronos for active use on July 1, 2026, but needs to additional time through the end of September, 2026 to receive the historical data and determine how best to store said history for possible usage at a later date.  Clemson is wanting to maintain our hosting relationship with Lentech as they are the current host of the application, and the time and cost to setup a new environment with a new provider would cost in excess of $30,000 and would take as long as it will take to download and store the historical information Lentech is already hosting, therefore this is a sole source.

The Agency hereby provides notice that it intends to enter into a sole source contract per S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-1560 with Vendor for the following supplies, services, information technology, or construction:

Clemson University seeks to sole source the purchase of a Bruker TRACER 5g portable X-ray fluorescence system configured for archaeological, geological, and paleoenvironmental sediment-core research. This instrument is required for high-resolution elemental analysis of sediment cores and related soil, wetland, archaeological, and geologic samples. My research depends on identifying subtle geochemical changes through sediment cores in order to reconstruct paleoenvironmental conditions, sediment sources, anthropogenic inputs, and stratigraphic change through time. For this work, a general screening-level pXRF is not sufficient. The TRACER 5g is needed because of its detector type, graphene window, helium-capable analytical configuration, flexible beam settings, and advanced spectral software. This combination is specific to the Bruker TRACER 5g platform and is not interchangeable with pXRF instruments from other manufacturers. Substituting another pXRF system would not provide the same resolution or workflow needed for paleoenvironmental sediment-core research, and the Tracer 5g features are not available on any other instrument. For these reasons, the Bruker TRACER 5g is the only source for this specific configured system.

The Agency hereby provides notice that it intends to enter into a sole source contract per S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-1560 with Vendor for the following supplies, services, information technology, or construction:

The South Carolina Educational Television Commission (SCETV), in accordance with South Carolina Procurement Code, Section 11-35-1560 and regulation 19-445.2105, is providing public notice of the intent to award a sole source contract to The Weather Company (WSI). DSS is tasked by the Michelle H settlement agreement to meet specific requirements as it relates to ensuring that youth in foster care do not stay overnight office in DSS offices. Youth with highly aggressive behaviors present a risk to themselves and DSS staff when they are not in a stable placement. Purpose, SC is contracted with SCDSS as an enhanced level group care provider. They provide care for youth with moderate to severe behavioral issues. At times, the individual needs of a youth exceed the expectations of an Enhanced Group Care provider, and these youth often need 24/7 individualized. skilled supervision to remain stable and safe in placement. To ensure the safety and stability of individually identified youth at Purpose, SC this Contract will establish funding for this group care provider to provide supplemental, individualized internal program staffing for high acuity youth, to prevent youth from being overnight in the DSS office, which would jeopardize their safety, as well as the safety of DSS staff. These services are intended to be utilized as time limited, crisis-stabilization to aid a youth in stabilizing or acclimating to placement with the provider. Individual supervision is not a long term service or replacement for other treatment interventions that could benefit the youth at Purpose, SC
