SCDOT is issuing this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) from entities interested in contracting to serve as the Design-Build Team for the design and construction of the Carolina Crossroads I-20/26/126 Corridor Improvement Project (CCR). This project is a multi-interstate, multi-interchange construction/reconstruction project to reduce congestion and improve mobility within the project corridor.
Each project is a 136,000 SF main building and a service building of 12,000 SF. Type of construction is concrete slab on grade, load bearing metal wall framing and roof trusses. Some structural steel support framing included. Main building incorporates admin. offices, kitchen/dining, activity spaces and small chapel. Plumbing, Mechanical (4 pipe from central equipment), Electrical and Fire Protection systems are included and associated site work. Each project will be bid separately.
Phase 3A (UNIT PRICE BID) generally consists of the installation of water mains in approximate quantities (including Alternates): 8” water mains – 11,920 lf; 6” water mains – 1,440 lf; Water services, short side –10 each; Water services, long side –10 each, and related appurtenances. Phase 3B(LUMP SUM BID) consists of construction of a 200 gpm well, wellhouse with chlorination facilities and installation of an existing 5,000 gallon hydro-pneumatic water tank and related appurtenances.
