Sealed bids for the construction of the Washington Street Water Improvements will be received by the City of Walterboro, 242 Hampton St, Walterboro, SC 29488 until 2:00pm local time on May 28, 2019. The project consists of constructing approx 1,178 linear feet of 8 inch water main, 3 gate valve/boxes, 1 fire hydrant and related appurtenances.

The project shall consist of full width milling, edge milling, profile milling, resurfacing with 172 or 220 lbs. per square yard of surface course type C, full depth patching with binder and surface course where required, and full depth reclamation with cement where required.

This design / build project will consist of developing an architectural set of drawings and constructing a transfer station facility that will include offices, a drive through tunnel and a tipping floor area, in addition to concrete paving for drive areas and aprons, and gravel driveways. The Quail Drive Sidewalk project, located in the Town of James Island and city of Charleston, involves the installation of approximately 800 LF of new ADA-compliant concrete sidewalk on Quail Drive from the James Island Recreation Complex to Nabors Drive.
