The Project consists of the renovation to the existing McCormick W.S. Mims Civic Center building. Portions of the existing building will be demolished, remaining portions of the building are to receive a new roof system, new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection system. There will be a Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting at the proposed site, Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at 10 AM.
The Town requests bids from SC Licensed contractors for the replacement of a built up tar and gravel roof at our Senior Center. Full bid package available upon demand with coordinated site visits beginning 1-4-2022 until 1-12-2022. All bids must abide by SC Law for bidding and bidders. Existing building exterior to be cleaned, all masonry joints and miscellaneous mortar to be prepped and repaired. Exterior window and door framing and trim will cleaned prepped and re-caulked and repaired as indicated on the drawings. Lattice steel framing will be repaired on all connection hardware and plates. Areas to be painted are indicated on the drawings.

Beaufort County Dirt Road Paving Contract #53
Scope of work includes roof replacement of the existing low sloped roof system down to the existing roof deck for approximately 161 roofing squares (16,100 sq ft). Roof replacement includes roof deck repairs, removal of abandoned equipment, installation of a self – adhered air and vapor barrier for direct-to metal deck applications and installation of new roof insulation, including taper insulation, and installation of a mechanically attached thermoplastic PVC/KEE roof assembly.
This project includes renovation and reconfiguration of approximately 1,252 SF of office space into offices, lab, treatment, bathroom and gowning on the 2nd Floor of the Clinical Science Building. The scope of work includes new doors, frames and hardware, new walls, finishes and related mechanical, plumbing and electrical modifications.
