Clemson intends to sole source the sService coverage for Liquid Chromatograph coupled to Orbitrap Fusion Tribrid mass spectrometer from manufacturer. The purchase of this service contract is necessary for the continuity of research performed in the Multi-User Analytical Lab.  The manufacturer of this combined instrument is Thermo Electron therefore they have access to the necessary replacement/repair parts as needed, as well their technicians have vast experience working on and maintaing this instrument.  The total spend for contract is $108,374.40 for 12 months parts and labor.  Therefore this is a sole source.
