In compliance with notice requirements in Section 11-35-1560(A) of the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code, SCDSS is announcing an award to procure services with the University of Kentucky Research Foundation to support SCDSS in its ongoing implementation and refinement of CANS 2.0 and FAST tools as safety and risk assessments; referral and triage tools; and its trauma-informed evidence-based social services and implementation of the GATE assessment for the agency's Adult Protective Services Division. As the only associated foundation, the CANS, FAST, and GATE tools are proprietary solutions. The John Praed Foundation owns the copyrights for these three tools, training, initial set up, continual training, and all other services and products related to the tools. John Praed has authorized the University of Kentucky to be the sole entity allowed to provide the tools, training, initial set up, continual training, and all other services and products related to the tools.
