Description:
Beaufort County has received USDA grant funding to create a composting pilot program. A portion of the funds are allotted to purchasing a composting vessel to compost organic waste which will be located at 9 Benton Field Road, Bluffton, SC 29910. Organic waste is defined as any material that comes from a plant or animal that is biodegradable. Per the USDA grant requirements, the compost product must be a nutrient rich product that can be applied to agricultural lands.
