Riverbanks is now advancing plans for a new lion habitat, along with other strategic capital projects that support the evolution of the campus. While maintaining all existing Zoo and Botanical Gardens operations and guest access, Riverbanks Zoo and Garden will construct the new lion habitat and related infrastructure improvements within the existing east campus in the current location of zebra and ostrich habitat between Safari Camp and the giraffe habitat.
