To replace a failing school chiller. During our project research, we discovered the lead time to replace with a new Daiken 160 ton chiller is 34+ weeks. Provide 7 Kenworth transport trucks that are needed to carry firefighting dozers during fire season. The time limit to conduct the bidding process exceeds the manufactures ability to build the required trucks in a timely and cost effective manner in order for them to be delivered and the truck bodies installed by the March 2023 fire season.

Clemson University is seeking a second camera-based system for the digitization of cultural heritage materials. We require an all-in-one system (camera, lens, lights, copy stand, and software designed to work together) that can effectively and efficiently capture a wide variety of materials (including documents, photographs, bound objects, and oversized items). The system must be able to deliver FADGI 4-star level images. We need this system to be able to auto-focus, automatically adjust to different resolution settings, and the software needs to have auto crop capabilities in order to both meet the production demands on the department and so that the system can be used by student employees (not professional imaging specialists). We also need a system that does not require a tech-support maintenance contract for the ongoing maintenance of the system. Digital Transitions is the only vendor on the market that sells an all-in-one camera-based capture system designed for cultural heritage materials that meets all of the above requirements. The Phase One iXH camera paired with the DT Versa copy stand, DT Photon XL lights, and Capture One Cultural Heritage software are all designed to work together for ease of use in a production environment and to achieve the highest quality images. Digital Transitions is the sole source provider of the DT Versa, the DT LED Photon Lights, the Capture One Cultural Heritage software, and the Phase One iXH in the United States, as discovered during inquiry of additional suppliers outside of the US and their response that they are not permitted to sell in the North American territory.

The Clemson University Youth Learning Institute has several Yurt Villages in all YLI locations. The Yurts were purchased several years ago from The Colorado Yurt Company, now called Secret Creek. “Yurt” is a generic term for a round tent comprised of lattice walls and a domed covering. All of the Yurts in our Camps across the State are comprised of the same fabric covering/materials/walls/windows etc. and the Youth Learning Institute requires the Yurts to be standard across the State and is requesting the purchase of Yurt replacement parts for the existing Yurts in need of repair. The only compatible interchangeable parts for the existing Yurts can only be purchased from Secret Creek, the manufacturer of the Yurts, and for these reasons listed this is a sole source request. The total value of this purchase is $.32,710.00.

The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) is seeking a qualified vendor to provide on an as-needed basis, custom made National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) certified radiation calibration standards. The standards are to be used with Gas Proportion Counter, ICP-MS, Gamma Spectroscopy and Liquid Scintillation Counter instrumentation currently in use for conduction drinking water analysis by the Bureau of Environmental Health Services EQC Laboratories - Division of Analytical and Radiological Environmental Services. Clemson University is intending to sole source the monthly fees associated with usage of the Common Application system. The Common Application is the industry leader in joint online college applications used by over 1,000 different universities and generating over 4 million applications in the US alone, and is seen by more potential students than any other applications. For these reasons it gives Clemson access to potential students that might not be aware of Clemson and what it offers and allows Clemson to increase the quality of candidate that may be accepted to the University. Clemson University is seeking a full-service Research as-a-Service (RaaS) vendor that has unique research and specific data to assist Clemson with the implementation of 3 high-priority projects; 1) ERP, 2) Capital investments and 3) Decentralized Budget Model. The data needed, is really benchmark and best practice points that can help Clemson faculty deal with the change management needed as part of these projects by being able to quickly provide customized reports and dashboards based on real peer data. A driving factor with Hanover is they are already on contract for admissions surveys and have been used by the university for years. Hanover knows our data, challenges, and opportunities. We currently use the Hanover academic assessment suit. This sole source will add project queue features as an add-on to our current package. Having a respected, proven partner in higher ed that has existing data on these efforts at peer institutions will allow Clemson to be successful. Hanover Research is the only supplier that has the specific, required data to allow for this agile, immediate approach to assisting with change management on these projects.

The South Carolina Department of Administration, in accordance with South Carolina Procurement Code, Section 11-35-1570 and regulation 19-445.2110, is providing public notice of the award of an emergency contract to Blanchard Machinery. The total potential value the contract is approximately $78,460.92.
This procurement is for two (2) 72-inch cooling tower blades and the associated duct cylinder assembly that has failed, resulting in the cooling tower being unable to provide cool enough water with high outdoor temperatures in the upper 80s and low 90s to feed the chillers without shutting them down. This is the main testing facility for infection diseases for DHEC. This facility operates 24/7 and without sufficient cooling, would have to shut down and route all testing to independent laboratories. The inability to complete testing on site creates a threat to public health as DHEC would not be able to report testing results in compliance with the Centers for Disease Control guidelines. Additionally, routing all testing to independent labs would risk specimen contamination.

A protest must be in writing, filed with the appropriate chief procurement officer, and set forth the grounds of the protest and the relief requested with enough particularity to give notice of the issues to be decided. The protest must be received by the appropriate chief procurement officer within the time provided above. Days are calculated as provided in S.C. Code Ann. §11-35-310(13).
On the behalf of Denmark Technical College, hereby provide notice that pursuant to the authority of SC Code 11-35-1560 and SC Regulation 19-445-2105, is announcing the intent to award without competition, a sole source contract to procure: Vizrad system which includes the simulators and simulation system for personnel contamination training which is only manufactured by Teletrix as a sole source procurement.
This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. Any responsible sources who wish to identify their interest and capability to provide these services must notify the Procurement Officer at livingstont@sctechsystem.edu no later than December 22, 2021. Subject: Vizrad System. Telephone responses will not be accepted. Upon receipt of the interested parties notification, the Procurement Officer will determine whether to conduct a competitive procurement or proceed with sole source negotiations.
