Bids will be opened on May 19, 2026 for a timber ale on Sumter National Forest Long Cane district. The sale consist of 444 acres of operator select thinning. The target BA will be between 55 and 65 ft2/ac. The order of preference to be left is Longleaf pine, shortleaf pine, oak, hickory, and large loblolly. All non-mast hardwood will be removed.
