The City of Aiken, S.C. invites qualified individuals to submit proposals for City Indigent Defense Cousel as described in the scope of work responsibilites. City Indigent Counsel will be an independent contractor and will serve at the pleasure of the City Council. Proposals should be submitted no later than Wednesday, August 1, 2018 at 3:00pm. The monthly retainer fee for all said services is set at $1,833.33 / month.
The purpose for the project is to interview alumni / faculty member from W. Gresham Megget Elementary and High School, who attended or taught there for African-American student. The oral history, along with the final report will provide insight on the lives of African-American student in the midst of desegregation. Along with stories and experiences, academic research on the Civil Rights Movement will help with presevation plans, heritage tourism.
The City of West Columbia is requesting Statements of Qualifications from skilled artists to provide interactive art pieces of various sizes to be placed in a city park. Berkeley-Charleston-Dorchester Council of Governments (BCDCOG) will accept proposals from qualified board certified legal firms or consultants to provide sound counsel, advice, research and other duties as required.
