To meet the growth of the District, Fort Mill Schools is installing a modular building. The South Carolina Department of Health & Environmental Control (DHEC) intends to award a Sole Source contract valued at $99,521 to Genesis Systems, Inc. for changes to the Vital Records software system that will allow for birth certificates for babies born through a gestational carrier to be filed in accordance with new State Regulations. The SC Vital Records and Statistics Integrated Information System (SC VRSIIS). In accordance with Section 1560 of the Spartanburg County School District Six Procurement Code, the school district intends to award a sole source contract to Blanchard Machinery Company. to make a onetime purchase of (1) CAT Simulator. The South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control (DHEC) intends to award a Sole Source contract for a one-year service plan coverage for two Waters High Performance Liquid Chromatograph (HPLC) systems, Carbamate System, Triple Quad Detector Mass Spectrometer system (LC/M S/MS), and unlimited technical support, at an estimated cost of $56,433.20 to Waters Technologies Corporation. Service plan coverage is to include on-site performance maintenance by a factory-trained service engineer, whose informatics and chemistry is only available to Waters service engineers, and Waters Quality Parts replacement as needed for corrective maintenance and repair, while maintaining the standard level of performance as stated in the operational manual provided with the original equipment. Open Text Software owns and implements ChangeMan, and warrantees the works in a service contract. Micro Focus, Now OpenText,(which includes Serena as a subsidiary) is the only company to provide annual support and services for the ChangeMan applications. The sole source is to add an application to our existing license of ChangeMan, which is why it is they are the only company that can be used for this work. OpenText has the sole and exclusive right to the software and have it's subsidiary Serena Software perform this work.

Midlands Technical College is in need of temperature and humidity controls, to include software and programming, for the purpose of moisture control for Springdale Hall (SDH) on the Airport Campus. Clemson's Watt Family Innovation Center is currently outfitted with the Philips Lighting, now Signify, Interact PoE (power over ethernet) lighting platform, Color Kinetics system and Philips Gardco Pureform P21 Luminaires. All these product systems are solely provided and serviced by Signify. The current requirement is for Signify to perform an entire System Health Check and providing a full inventory of the lighting system assets (that were provided by Philips Lighting, now Signify) at the Watt Family Innovation Center using the Interact Monitor and Maintain Application. Signify as the owner of the system and the lighting equipment and not having resellers is the sole source to provide this study.

The South Carolina Department of Corrections intends to Sole Source Elpas for the provision of the RTLS Man-Down Duress System. The RTLS System is a combined hardware and software solution delivering wireless monitoring/tracking of prison guards facilitating faster response time during emergencies in the inmate population. The RTLS System contains a Software Development Kit for the development of interfaces to external building and security systems. Including a Web Services based interface to enable simple integration by developers and to access and update database events and objects. - This system will support local devices that continue to annunciate duress(man-down) alerts during network or server outages. The annual value of the contract is $135,000.00.
The Department of General Internal Medicine is requesting to purchase diabetes supplies from Fora Care Inc. The requested supplies is for an on-going research project-TACM-2 Telehealth-- for diabetics in the rural South Carolina areas. Any deviation from this product/monitoring service would cause extreme disruption to our remote patient monitoring intervention which encompasses multiple geographic areas in South Carolina. Currently there are 6 Professional Service Agreements for the research project (PL18271094-Shifa Free Clinic; PL18275656-Dillon County Free Medical Clinic; PL18280005-Helping Hands Free Medical Clinic; PC19280006-Little River Medical Center, Inc.; PA19281120-Regenesis Organization & PI19308784-St. James-Santee Family Health Center). The purpose of this research program is to help low income patients achieve and maintain better self-management skills and improve blood sugar levels, using the FORA 2-in-1 Telehealth system for diabetes management intervention. This achieve by linking a case manager to patients with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes in real time. Medications are titrated under supervision of primary care and/or endocrinology physicians. Fora Care, Inc. is the sole manufacture and distributor of the FORA 2-in-1 Relehealth System.
